Our alumni have ventured into diverse paths and achieved remarkable things. Their stories reflect resilience and determination, making them role models for current students. Keira Scott

One of the first students to walk through the door in September 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic, Keira knows the school well and is part of our story and journey.

After leaving Hopefields in July 2021, she ventured to Askham Bryan college, then went on to serve her apprenticeship working in customer service before applying for a role with Hopefields as support staff. Keira has transformed the music department and is currently found every lunchtime leading keyboard club and karaoke sessions.

Marissa A

Marissa attended Hopefields through a partnership placement with one of our local secondary schools. Working together, we created a bespoke package for Marissa, who went on to attend college, gaining high grades and positive feedback from her tutors. She is now living independently and is employed in a large supermarket chain in the local area. We are proud of Marissa for her maturity and resilience in gaining her qualifications and continuing to lead a life of hope.

Keira R

After leaving Hopefields, Keira headed to Middlesbrough College and gained excellent grades in the Level 2 Travel and Tourism Course. Well on track to fulfill her dream of being involved in aviation and tourism, Keira is currently completing the Level 3 qualification whilst working alongside the course in employment as a carer, securing independent living and a life of opportunity that travel will give her in the future.

Katie R

Katie came back to Hopefields (on a weekend) for two years after leaving to complete her work placement through Askham Bryan College. After gaining a Level Three qualification in animal care, Katie is now on route to undertaking a supported internship towards gaining employment.

Scarlett T

An avid catering student, Scarlett joined Middlesbrough college upon leaving Hopefields and is progressing well on her course, now in her second year. Her tutors give excellent feedback, and Scarlett is now taking driving lessons to promote her independence even further. Always a person to stand up for what is right and challenge the wrong, Scarlett shows great maturity and confidence as she enters adulthood.

Lexi W

Lexi ventured on to a local college after leaving Hopefields, and is living her best life, recently completing an overnight stays away from home and gaining excellent grades in her work whilst working towards further independent goals. Her tutors say she is a ‘breath of fresh air’ and always works to the best of her ability.

Brooke H-R

A talented artist and illustrator, obtaining a fantastic set of GCSE results at Hopefields, Brooke then enrolled at the Northern School of Art and has gained significantly high grades in her assessments. Brooke also completed work placement at local firm DoubleEleven and showed great skill and work ethic. She has made great friendships and continues to create work of a high standard.

Liam G

Liam excelled in the Summer exam series in 2025, and then, with no holiday break, hopped along to the Army Training College in Harrogate to complete their basic training. Hoping to be posted overseas, his is gaining fitness and independent skills, applying for his passport in readiness for service.

Freya W

After Hopefields, Freya has studied at a small college in Teesside, enjoying elements of floristry and supporting in the classroom. She has recently succeeded in the show ring, including at the prestigious Great Yorkshire Show, gaining champion status with her horses at local Edenwell, and is showing such an increase in confidence, determination and horsemanship.
